Jharkhand BJP president Aditya Prasad Sahu on Friday called upon the youth to draw inspiration from the life and ideals of Syama Prasad Mookerjee and dedicate themselves to nation-building, saying visionary leaders and patriots like Mookerjee are born only once in a generation.
Addressing B.Ed. students at Abhiram B.Ed. College in Tiko under Kudu block of Lohardaga district, Sahu described Dr. Mookerjee’s life as an invaluable legacy of Indian politics. He said political leaders, party workers and young citizens should imbibe his ideals and contribute sincerely towards building a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
Emphasising patriotism as the guiding force behind public service, Sahu said every citizen has a responsibility to contribute to the nation’s progress. He remarked that the Bharatiya Janata Party has become the world’s largest democratic political party because of the dedication and selfless service of its workers. Quoting the slogan, “The nation gives us everything; we too must learn to give something back,” he urged party workers to remain committed to public service.
Praising the leadership of Narendra Modi, Sahu said India is witnessing rapid progress across sectors and steadily strengthening its position on the global stage.
Earlier, Sahu paid floral tributes to the statues of freedom fighter Vishram Tana Bhagat and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He also honoured Kargil War veteran Birsa Oraon and 1971 Indo-Pak War veteran Jodhan Mahto at their residences.
Later, he chaired an organisational meeting with BJP leaders and workers at Kudu, where discussions focused on the party’s future strategy, implementation of Central welfare schemes and organisational priorities. The meeting was presided over by Lohardaga BJP district president Ajay Kumar Pankaj and attended by several senior party leaders and workers.
