BJP MP Dhulu Mahato has claimed that he has repeatedly received threats allegedly from gangster Prince Khan, saying the latest intimidation came on July 1. Addressing a press conference at the Dhanbad Circuit House, the parliamentarian said he had already lodged written complaints with the Dhanbad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and the Union Home Minister seeking immediate action.
Mahato said he received one of the threatening calls while travelling to Delhi and another call from a foreign number on Friday evening. He added that he had informed senior party leaders and police officials about the threats soon after receiving them.
The MP said he wants the gangster to be arrested at the earliest and brought to justice. “If a Member of Parliament and an MLA are receiving threats, the state government must take the matter seriously and act decisively,” he said. He added that if the Jharkhand government takes effective action, the Centre would fully support efforts to track down and arrest the accused from wherever he is hiding.
Mahato also alleged that certain individuals were trying to exploit his name for political purposes. His remarks come in the wake of allegations made by **Nirsa MLA Arup Chatterjee**, who recently accused the BJP MP of having links with gangster Prince Khan.
