Subrat Kumar Dash Takes Charge as CEO, NTPC Mining Limited
Subrat Kumar Dash has taken charge as Chief Executive Officer of NTPC Mining Limited (NML), NTPC’s coal mining subsidiary on 17th June 2026 at NML HQ, Ranchi.
An Electrical Engineer, Shri Dash joined NTPC in 1989 as an Executive Trainee. With 37 years of experience, he has held key positions across Electrical Maintenance and Operations at Singrauli and Talcher Kaniha, before moving into Business Excellence and later Fuel Management at NTPC’s Corporate Centre.
His transition from power generation to mining came in 2024-25, when he took charge as Head of Project at Pakri Barwadih, NML’s largest coal mining project.
Throughout his career, Dash has gained expertise across plant operations, fuel management and project execution. His appointment as CEO is expected to bring strong operational leadership to NML as company gears up to play a larger role in India’s energy security landscape.
