The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Tuesday announced a statewide awareness campaign and democratic agitation over employment, recruitment policies and alleged irregularities in the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Combined Civil Services Examination.
The decision was taken at a meeting of BJYM state office-bearers, district presidents and district in-charges held at the BJP state headquarters under the chairmanship of BJYM state president Shashank Raj. The meeting reviewed issues concerning employment, the state’s recruitment policy, delays in appointments and concerns surrounding the recently declared JPSC examination results.
Addressing the gathering, BJP state organisational general secretary Karmveer Singh said the BJYM has always raised the voice of Jharkhand’s youth and urged party workers to strengthen the organisation at the booth level while highlighting issues affecting young people.
BJP state general secretary Amar Bauri accused the state government of failing to fulfil its promise of implementing a recruitment policy based on the 1932 domicile framework. He alleged that several recruitments were still being carried out under the 1985 cut-off, exposing a gap between the government’s promises and its actions.
BJYM state president Shashank Raj said the youth of Jharkhand were expecting transparent recruitment and better employment opportunities but had been disappointed by the government’s failure to formulate a clear and permanent recruitment policy. He claimed that the uncertainty had affected the future of lakhs of aspirants.
The meeting also expressed concern over pending recruitment drives, delays in competitive examinations, increasing migration of youth and questions being raised over the JPSC recruitment process. Leaders said ensuring transparency, fairness and timely completion of recruitment was the government’s responsibility.
BJYM resolved to launch a statewide public awareness campaign and organise democratic protests on issues related to employment, recruitment rules, transparent selection processes and the rights of young people.
Senior BJP and BJYM leaders, including BJYM state in-charge Vinay Jaiswal, attended the meeting.
