Ranchi

The first joint meeting of the General Secretaries, District In-Charges, and State Coordinators of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee was held today at the Old Assembly premises in Ranchi after the formation of the new organisational committee.

The meeting focused on strengthening the party organisation and preparing a comprehensive strategy for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.

The meeting was chaired by Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee President Keshav Mahto Kamlesh. AICC Jharkhand in-charge K. Raju outlined the responsibilities of district in-charges and state coordinators, stressing that organisational strengthening and ensuring accuracy in voter lists are among the most important tasks at present.

He said that the voter list is the foundation of democracy and the Congress Party will ensure that no eligible voter is left out while any errors or irregularities are identified and corrected in time.

During the first session, which lasted nearly three hours, detailed discussions were held on the SIR process, its challenges, and possible solutions. Senior leaders and trainers also provided technical and practical guidance to district in-charges.

Deputy in-charge Bhupendra Singh Maravi and trainer Rahul Bol also briefed participants on key aspects of the campaign.

In the second session, Lok Sabha in-charges, co-incharges, and Assembly secretaries discussed organisational activities and strategies to implement the SIR campaign effectively at the district, block, panchayat, and ward levels. Leaders were assigned the responsibility of conducting regular field visits and monitoring progress.

The meeting was conducted by Organisational General Secretary Sumit Sharma.

Several senior leaders including Alok Kumar Dubey, Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, Anupama Singh, and others were present.

The Congress Party has said it will actively work at the booth level to ensure the success of the SIR campaign and address all voter list-related issues with seriousness.
