Industrial development and infrastructure improvement in the BIADA Bokaro Region were the key focus areas during a PCC/LAC meeting held at the BIADA auditorium on Thursday, where 13 industrial cases were reviewed and approved.
The approved cases included four proposals related to the transfer of leasehold rights and nine matters concerning the inclusion of additional items and changes in existing industrial items.
The meeting reviewed pending cases of industrial units and emphasized their timely disposal to facilitate industrial growth and improve the ease of doing business in the region. Participants stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among various departments for the overall development of the industrial area.
Concerns were raised over the deteriorating condition of internal roads within the industrial zone. Authorities were directed to expedite repair work and strengthen essential infrastructure, including drainage networks, water supply systems, and the conservation of water bodies.
Issues relating to traffic management, illegal parking, and overloading of heavy vehicles were also discussed. The meeting called for stricter enforcement measures and action against violators to ensure smooth movement of goods and vehicles in the industrial area.
To improve compliance and industrial discipline, directions were issued for serving show-cause notices to inactive and non-compliant units and initiating lease cancellation proceedings in cases where required.
Industrial safety also featured prominently in the discussions, with emphasis on establishing a dedicated fire station within the BIADA area. Concerned departments were asked to prepare a proposal to strengthen emergency response infrastructure for industries operating in the region.
Officials from BIADA, district administration, power and drinking water departments, the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board, banking institutions, and representatives of industrial associations participated in the meeting.
