On the last Sunday of July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his monthly radio program, “Mann Ki Baat”. BJP leaders and workers gathered at the party’s Jharkhand headquarters in Ranchi to listen to the broadcast. Key figures present included State General Secretaries Amar Bauri and Ganesh Mishra, Chief Spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo, and Spokespersons Sandeep Verma, Shobha Yadav, and Ashok Badaik.
Following the broadcast, Amar Bauri noted that despite being non-political, the show remains immensely popular because it highlights “hidden heroes”—unsung individuals making a significant impact across the country. State Spokesperson Shobha Yadav praised the episode as deeply inspiring, citing stories ranging from Kargil War heroes to grassroots conservation efforts.
PM Modi paid tribute to the heroes of Kargil Vijay Diwas and urged citizens to conserve rainwater under the “Catch the Rain” initiative. He praised Gujarat’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, UP’s drive planting 35 crore trees, and Sitamarhi’s innovative project crafting school benches from plastic waste.
The Prime Minister celebrated young talent in the Science Olympiad, athletes in the Commonwealth Games, and the private space sector’s successful launch of Vikram-01. He also highlighted Manipur’s Dr. Ronaldo, who discovered a new galaxy and named it after Loktak Lake.
Reaffirming his call for “Vocal for Local”, PM Modi commended eco-friendly mats made in Srinagar and a women-led herbal tea enterprise in Uttar Pradesh that achieved self-reliance starting with an investment of ₹1 lakh.
