Bokaro district has emerged as a model for the effective implementation of the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign through coordinated administration, technology-driven monitoring and extensive public participation.
Under the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, the district has intensified door-to-door outreach, daily progress reviews, digitisation of Enumeration Forms (EFs) and large-scale voter awareness campaigns to ensure an accurate and updated electoral roll.
As of 10 a.m. on July 26, the district has achieved 98.33% Enumeration Form distribution and 92.62% digitisation. Gomia, Bermo and Chandankiyari have recorded over 99% EF distribution, while digitisation has reached 98.49% in Gomia, 95.57% in Bermo, 95.98% in Chandankiyari and 86.23% in Bokaro Assembly constituency.
Special efforts have also been made to reach senior citizens, persons with disabilities and transgender voters, while help centres, helplines and special camps have assisted citizens in completing the enrolment process.
With only three days remaining for the campaign, DC Ajay Nath Jha appealed to eligible voters who have not yet submitted their Enumeration Forms to do so immediately through their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs), stressing that a clean electoral roll is essential for a stronger and more inclusive democracy.
