Palamu’s Bishrampur constituency achieves 100 % SIR

Bishrampur assembly constituency in Palamu district has achieved 100 percent digitization of the enumeration forms, 3 days ahead of the end of the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Jharkhand.

This constituency thus becomes the first among the 5 assembly constituency Palamu district.

The salient feature of this constituency is that it has as many as 158 polling booths in Garhwa district.

There are a total of 367 polling booths in this Bishrampur assembly constituency in Palamu district.

Electoral registration officer (ERO) Kundan Kumar who is the additional collector here confirmed the 100 percent achievement of the SIR here in this constituency on Monday.

As against 3, 67, 800 electors here, enumeration forms were distributed among 3,67,799 just 1 short of the total number of electors added the ERO.

This constituency has 7 blocks, 3 of them fall in Garhwa district.

On being asked about the ASDD ( absentee, shifted, dead, duplicate) electors in this constituency ERO said it comes to 47,908.

As a result of 47,908 ASDD the digitization of filled enumeration forms was 3, 19, 892 which covers the 3,67,800 electors.

The ERO was all praise for the 367 BLOs who as he said “worked too hard”.

Again this Bishrampur assembly constituency had a BLO in Sumitra Devi who had achieved 100 percent distribution and digitisation of enumeration forms some fortnight ago.

Sources said the district election officer Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat does day and night monitoring of the enumeration forms digitization in the 4 remaining assembly constituencies.
