The Baba Baidyanath Temple and Shivganga area have been declared a No-Fly Zone, with drones, para-gliding and hot-air balloons completely prohibited in and around the site.
During the state Shravan Mela, lakhs of devotees from across India and abroad visit Baba Baidyanath Dham to perform Jalarpan (water offerings) and worship with deep reverence. To ensure the safety of pilgrims, maintain law and order, and facilitate smooth conduct of the fair, the unauthorized operation of drones poses a serious security risk and could lead to disruption of public order and peace.
In view of these concerns, Sub-Divisional Officer and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ravi Kumar has ordered that, from 30 July 2026 to 28 August 2026, the areas in and around Baba Baidyanath Temple and Shivganga within the Deoghar subdivision will be strictly designated as a No-Fly Zone, prohibiting the use of drones, para-gliding and hot-air balloons.
