The wedding reception of Abhinav Siddharth, son of Lohardaga Lok Sabha MP Sukhdeo Bhagat, at the prestigious Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi on Sunday witnessed a rare gathering of leaders cutting across political lines. The ceremony, organised to celebrate the newlywed couple, transformed into a major political congregation with the presence of prominent leaders from both the ruling and opposition parties.
Several senior politicians, public representatives, administrative officials, industry personalities, social workers, and well-wishers from across the country attended the reception to bless the couple and extend their good wishes for a happy and prosperous married life.
The event was attended by Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and several other prominent leaders. Among those present were MPs Supriya Sule, Naveen Jindal, Anurag Thakur, Gaurav Gogoi, Congress leader Pawan Khera, along with many senior leaders from different political parties.
A large number of MPs, MLAs, ministers, former and serving administrative officials, national-level Congress functionaries, and social workers also participated in the reception. Guests from several states, including Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand, attended the celebration.
The gathering reflected an atmosphere of warmth and goodwill, as leaders representing different political ideologies shared the same platform to bless the newlyweds and convey their greetings to MP Sukhdeo Bhagat and his family.
Expressing gratitude, MP Sukhdeo Bhagat said the overwhelming affection, respect, and blessings received from people across the country had made the family occasion memorable.
