Ravish Sharma, CEO & Whole-Time Director, ESL Steel Limited, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to empowering rural women through entrepreneurship, saying sustainable livelihood creation remains at the core of ESL Steel’s CSR initiative, Project Jivika.
Addressing a stakeholder workshop for 31 members of Jivika Srijan Shakti Producer Company Limited (OFPO) at the ESL Skill School, Sharma said empowering women entrepreneurs creates long-term social and economic transformation. He said ESL Steel is working to connect women-led enterprises with knowledge, government support, financial opportunities and markets, enabling them to become self-reliant and future-ready.
The workshop brought together officials from JSLPS, the District Industries Centre (DIC), RSETI and Zila Parishad, who guided participants on government schemes, entrepreneurship development, branding, value addition, marketing and business expansion. The programme concluded with an interactive session aimed at strengthening institutional linkages and equipping women entrepreneurs to scale their enterprises.
