Reaffirms commitment to his vision

Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday paid floral tributes to Padma Bhushan awardee, Jharkhand movement stalwart and JMM founder Shibu Soren on his first death anniversary, remembering him as a leader who dedicated his life to safeguarding the rights of the state’s tribal, indigenous and marginalized communities.
The Chief Minister visited the late leader’s residence in Morabadi, Ranchi, where he offered floral tributes to Shibu Soren’s portrait. Family members, including his wife Rupi Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren, along with other relatives, also paid homage and recalled his lifelong struggle, contributions and ideals.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Hemant Soren said Shibu Soren had devoted his entire life to the fight for the rights and dignity of the people of Jharkhand. He said the veteran leader was being remembered with deep respect across the state for his unwavering commitment to the cause of Jharkhand and its people.
Describing Jharkhand as a land of brave men and women who have consistently fought for their rights, the Chief Minister paid tribute to all those who sacrificed their lives during the state’s long struggle for identity and justice.
Although Shibu Soren is no longer physically present, his ideals, struggles and contributions will continue to inspire generations, Hemant Soren said. He added that the late leader had dedicated his life to protecting the rights and uplifting the lives of tribals, indigenous communities, the underprivileged and the oppressed.
The Chief Minister said it was the collective responsibility of everyone to fulfil the dreams envisioned by Shibu Soren and work towards the holistic development of Jharkhand in accordance with his ideals. He asserted that the state government remains committed to building the equitable, just and prosperous Jharkhand that the late leader had envisioned.
