Ambedkar statue vandalized in Deoghar

The statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar located in Basmatta village under Chandih Panchayat was damaged by anti-social elements. Expressing deep concern and sorrow over the incident, Congress Provincial Secretary and District 20-Point Vice President Dr. Munna Sanjay Gahari reached the spot and conducted an on-site inspection.
Dr. Sanjay strongly condemned the incident, stating that no amount of condemnation is enough. He described it as not just an insult to the statue, but a direct attack on the Indian Constitution, Baba Saheb’s principles, and his ideals.
On Saturday, while in Ranchi, Dr. Sanjay contacted the Deoghar Deputy Commissioner, provided detailed information about the incident, and demanded strict action so that the culprits are arrested and given stringent punishment at the earliest. He also assured that the damaged statue would be reinstalled soon.
Congress leader Dinesh Kumar Mandal also expressed deep sorrow over the incident and strongly condemned it.
Present on the occasion were Committee President Subhash Chandra Das, Sanu Kumar, Pradyuman Kumar, Kashi Das, Vikas Das, Amit Kumar, Shrikant Kumar, Ravi Thakur, and dozens of others.
