RPF Asansol Div recovers, returns lost passenger belongings

Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of Asansol Division successfully recovered and restored lost passenger belongings in four separate incidents under Operation Amanat on 6 June 2026.

The recoveries included: A black bag containing clothes and medicines (worth ₹1,000) from Train No. 15236 at Chittaranjan. A bag with personal documents and books (worth ₹6,000) at Asansol West.A bag left in Train No. 63530, traced and recovered at Dubrajpur (worth ₹2,000).

A mobile charger adapter (worth ₹2,500) at Asansol West. All items were handed over to their rightful owners after proper verification. The total value of recovered property was approximately ₹11,500. Passengers are advised to stay vigilant with their belongings and report any losses immediately via Rail Madad, Security Helpline 139, or the nearest RPF post
