Sudesh Mahto felicitates Anjana Mahato, who won two Bronze Medals at International Wushu Championship in Georgia
Silli’s daughter and Jharkhand’s pride, Anjana Mahato, has brought glory to the state and the nation by winning two bronze medals at the International Wushu Championship held in Georgia, Europe, from July 30 to August 4, 2026.
Competing against some of the world’s finest athletes, Anjana demonstrated extraordinary skill, hard work, confidence, and dedication. Her achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a powerful symbol of the indomitable spirit of Jharkhand’s daughters, inspiring young athletes across the state and country.
Upon her return to Ranchi, Anjana visited Bukru residence of former Deputy Chief Minister and AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto. There, her success was celebrated as a historic milestone, underscoring the immense talent that lies within Jharkhand’s soil.
Felicitating Anjana, Sudesh said Jharkhand has no shortage of talent; what is required are the right opportunities, resources, and encouragement. The commitment remains strong to ensure that every talented sportsperson from Jharkhand gets the chance to shine not only at the national level but also on the international stage, carrying the state’s flag with pride, he added.
