Aurobindo Lions clinch U-12 cricket title with 10-run victory

The Aurobindo Society organized a successful Under-12 Cricket Tournament at the Aurobindo campus with the aim of encouraging young players and promoting sports among children. The event was conducted with the active support and contribution of Raj Kumar Pathak.
The tournament featured a 20-over match between Aurobindo Lions and Aurobindo Tigers. After winning the toss, Aurobindo Lions batted first and scored 79 runs in 20 overs. Samrat Ranveer Pathak top-scored for the team and played a key role in helping the Lions post a competitive total.
In reply, Aurobindo Tigers were bowled out for 69 runs, falling short by 10 runs. Arnav Singh was the highest scorer for the Tigers with 14 runs. The Lions’ bowling attack, led by Harsh Gupta, Yash, and Arnav Ojha, proved decisive as they restricted the opposition and secured the title.
A large number of parents, sports enthusiasts, and local residents attended the match and cheered the young players throughout the competition. The event highlighted sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition among participants.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by National Naveen Mail editor Sunil Singh ‘Badal’ and Aurobindo Society Secretary Ramesh Singh as chief guests. Distinguished guests included national volleyball player Bhola Pratap Singh, who awarded ₹1,000 to the Player of the Match, while Raj Kumar Pathak presented ₹500 to the runner-up team.
Among the distinguished guests present were national volleyball player Bhola Pratap Singh, Pramod Singh, social worker Deepak Ojha, Daya Pandey, Rahul Pathak, Aniket Sahay, Ravish Kumar (CISF), and academy coach Ashish Kumar.
All players were felicitated with medals and certificates.
Award Winners were as follows — Best Batsman: Arnav Singh, Best Bowler: Arnav Kumar, Best Fielder: Samrat Ranveer Pathak, Player of the Match: Harsh Gupta, Best Catch: Hritvik Kumar.
Organizers said such events help nurture sporting talent while promoting discipline, leadership, confidence, and teamwork among children.
