A one-day district-level training programme on the ‘Framework for Fertilizer Sale’ was organised on 8th June 2026 at the Information Bhawan auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania. All wholesale and retail fertilizer dealers of the district participated in the training.
Addressing the workshop, DC said that it is a matter of great pride for Deoghar to have been selected by the Government of India for the ambitious pilot project on fertilizers. He stated that following this selection, the entire system of fertilizer distribution and sale in the district is being made more robust, transparent, and modern. The special training programme was organised for all stakeholders with this objective in mind.
The DC directed all wholesale and retail dealers to ensure 100% compliance with the rules of the new framework. He emphasised that fertilizer sales must be conducted strictly through the digital system and as per prescribed standards so that there is no scope for hoarding or black-marketing in the market. He made it clear that providing fertilizers to farmers at the right price according to their needs is the topmost priority of the administration.
During the training, officers of the Agriculture Department and technical experts provided detailed information to the dealers regarding the new rules under the ‘Framework for Fertilizer Sale’, stock management, use of Point of Sale (PoS) machines, and digital tracking. Queries and doubts raised by the dealers were also resolved on the spot.
The programme was attended by District Agriculture Officer Dr. Veena Kumari Tudu, Senior Scientist Rajan Ojha, Deputy PD, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, Block Agriculture Officers, ATMs, BTMs from various blocks, and a large number of wholesale and retail fertilizer dealers of the district.
