A workshop on the prompt and error-free disposal of cases related to the High Court of Jharkhand was held at the Collectorate Auditorium in the presence of Inspector General of Police, North Chotanagpur Range, Hazaribagh, Shailendra Kumar Sinha, and Superintendent of Police Nathu Singh Meena. All DSPs, Circle Inspectors and Station House Officers of the district attended the programme.

Advocate Shahbaz Akhtar of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi, served as the keynote speaker and briefed officers on legal procedures, statutory provisions and the importance of timely compliance with court directives. He stressed accuracy, accountability and proper record maintenance in the disposal of judicial matters.

Officials were directed to ensure strict adherence to court orders and complete all pending matters within stipulated timelines while minimizing procedural errors.

Later, during the monthly crime review meeting, the IG reviewed law and order, crime control measures and policing performance across the district. He instructed officers to strengthen public engagement, accountability and citizen-centric policing.

Sinha said timely resolution of public grievances and building trust between the police and citizens are essential for effective policing. He also urged officers to perform their duties with sensitivity, transparency and responsibility.

The workshop and review meeting were attended by all Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Circle Inspectors, Station House Officers and other district police officials.
