In a tragic incident businessman Nikhar Sablok was shot dead by bike-borne assailants outside the ’10th Milestone Hotel’ in Asanbani, within the Chandil police station area of Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The deceased has been identified as Nikhar Sablok, age 33, a resident of Vijaya Heritage in the Kadma police station area of Jamshedpur.
Sablok had arrived at the 10th Milestone Hotel in Kandarbeda for some work. While he was there, assailants on a motorcycle opened rapid fire on him. It is reported that the attackers fired four shots at Sablok. One bullet struck him in the head, leaving him critically injured.
Upon hearing the sound of gunfire, people present at the hotel and his associates alerted the police. With police assistance, the injured businessman was rushed to TMH in Jamshedpur for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after examination.
Chandil police arrived at the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident and began an investigation. Police recovered bullets from the spot. Footage from CCTV cameras installed at the hotel and in surrounding areas is being scrutinized to solve the murder mystery. The police are working to identify the attackers based on this footage.
The police informed that some suspects have been detained and are being questioned. However, the police have not yet officially confirmed the identities of the perpetrators involved in the murder.
Nikhar Sablok was involved in various business ventures, including the hospitality sector. The police are currently trying to ascertain the motive behind the murder and the reason for the attack. Preliminary investigations have also brought up a possible angle involving an extortion dispute.
However, the actual cause of the murder and the identities of those involved will only become clear once the police investigation is complete. The police are taking the investigation forward based on CCTV footage, evidence recovered from the crime scene, and the interrogation of detained suspects.
