The Information and Public Relations Department has organised cultural programmes at six key locations in the Rajkiya Shravani Mela 2026 area to provide devotional entertainment and relief to Kanwariyas.
The programmes are being held every evening at venues located mainly along the Kanwariya route and other spots where pilgrims stop to rest after their long journey on foot. Local artists are presenting bhajans, kirtans and traditional folk performances to create a spiritual atmosphere across the mela area.
Modern sound systems, lighting and stage arrangements have been installed at all six venues, enabling devotees to enjoy the performances while taking rest.
The initiative aims to provide mental and physical relaxation to pilgrims undertaking the arduous journey to Deoghar. Through devotional music and cultural performances, the department is seeking to make the pilgrimage experience more comfortable and spiritually enriching.
The programmes are also being used to spread awareness about government welfare schemes and civic facilities available to devotees during the mela. Folk artists are incorporating information about these initiatives into their songs and performances.
The arrangements are part of the wider preparations for the annual pilgrimage, which attracts millions of Kanwariyas from across India and abroad. The administration has focused on ensuring that devotees have access not only to essential facilities but also to cultural and devotional activities during their stay in the mela area.
