Reinforcing its commitment to transparency, integrity and ethical governance, Bokaro Steel Plant’s (BSL) Vigilance Department organised a special awareness session on August 27 under the ongoing three-month Preventive Vigilance Campaign and in the run-up to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026.
The session brought together the Director-in-Charge, Executive Directors, Chief General Managers, Heads of Departments and senior Vigilance officials. The Preventive Vigilance Campaign is being conducted from August 17 to November 16, 2026, with “Probity for Prosperity” as its guiding theme.
The senior management was briefed on the key initiatives and activities planned during the campaign, with particular emphasis on their role in promoting transparent decision-making, ethical conduct and accountable work practices.
The session was conducted by the Chief General Manager (Vigilance) and ACVO, who outlined the various programmes being undertaken as part of the campaign and preparations for Vigilance Awareness Week 2026.
Highlighting vigilance as a collective responsibility, the session stressed the need for transparency, integrity and clearly defined accountability in organisational processes. The initiative reflects BSL’s continued efforts to embed preventive vigilance into its functioning and strengthen a culture of good governance.
