A book documenting the life, spiritual influence and legacy of Kamde Baba and his ashram in Ranchi has become available on Amazon shortly after its formal release at a function held at the Kamde Baba Ashram.
Titled Wish Fulfiller: Memoir of Kamde Baba, the book has been authored by senior journalist and writer Manoj Prasad. It is based on more than two decades of research and documentation, with the author stating that the contents have been compiled primarily on the basis of evidence rather than accounts of devotees alone.
The book was released by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth at a function organised at the Kamde Baba Ashram in Ranchi. With its availability on Amazon, the book can now be accessed by readers globally.
The foreword to the book has been written by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman and senior editor Harivansh. The book covers several aspects of Kamde Baba and the ashram, including accounts and traditions associated with its spiritual significance.
It provides an evidence-based account of the south-facing idol of Lord Shiva in his child form installed at the ashram, as well as the south-facing Ashtadhatu idol of Lord Hanuman. The book also discusses the spiritual influence attributed to Kamde Baba and the belief among devotees that prayers and wishes made at the ashram are fulfilled.
Explaining the background of the book, Prasad said the work took more than 20 years because he sought to document facts and evidence rather than rely solely on the testimonies of devotees. He said the book seeks to present a detailed account of the ashram and its traditions for a wider readership.
Prasad said the book is intended not only for devotees of Kamde Baba but also for anyone with faith and belief. He said it seeks to convey that determination, faith and positive thinking can help people overcome negativity and move towards constructive outcomes.
He also underlined the relevance of the book in the present social environment, saying that growing negativity in society and families can be countered through positive and spiritually oriented thinking.
Ranchi MLA C.P. Singh, Mayor Roshni Khalkho, office-bearers and members of the Kamde Baba Ashram Trust, besides several other people, were present at the book release function.
