Pakur district emerged as the overall champion at the Santhal Pargana Regional Police Duty Meet 2026, outperforming five other districts in a three-day competition held from June 10 to 12 at the Sahibganj Police Centre.

Police personnel from six districts—Dumka, Pakur, Sahibganj, Godda, Jamtara, and Deoghar—participated in the event, competing across ten categories, including forensic science, medico-legal examination, crime investigation, law and judicial procedures, fingerprint analysis, photography, observation tests, police sketching, computer awareness, and dog squad trials.

A total of 14 participants from Pakur took part in the competition and delivered an impressive performance across multiple disciplines. Police Inspector Prayag Das secured first position in the medico-legal (oral) category and also finished second in the crime investigation, law, and judicial procedures segment. Sub-Inspector Nagendra Kumar secured third place in the medico-legal (oral) category.

In the observation test, Constable Rakesh Kumar Sarkar finished second and also secured third place in the police sketching competition. In the computer awareness category, Constable Pintu Kumar Saha won first place, while Constable Topesh Kumar Mandal secured third position.

Additionally, Inspector Prayag Das brought further recognition to the district by finishing second in the individual overall champion category.

According to a press release issued by the Superintendent of Police’s office, the consistent and strong performance of its participants enabled Pakur district to secure the overall first position in the meet.

Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh congratulated the officers and personnel for their achievement. DSP (Headquarters) Ujjwal Kumar Shah was also present at the event.
