10 Divyang persons get Battery-Operated Tricycles

June 13, 2026

PNS

Bokaro

Ten specially-abled persons received battery-operated tricycles under a joint initiative of the Bokaro District Administration and ONGC as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

The tricycles were distributed by Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha at the Collectorate premises in the presence of district officials and ONGC representatives. The initiative was launched in response to concerns raised by differently-abled citizens during the weekly Lok Samvad programme regarding mobility challenges in their daily lives.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Deputy Commissioner said the true purpose of governance is to bring positive change to people’s lives and empower them to become more self-reliant. He noted that the confidence and happiness reflected on the faces of the recipients was the biggest measure of the programme’s success.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the district administration and ONGC, stating that the battery-operated tricycles would significantly improve their mobility, independence and quality of life. The programme highlighted the administration’s commitment to inclusion and welfare-oriented governance.
