Biome Institute on Sunday organised its annual felicitation ceremony to honour students who excelled in the NEET UG 2026 examination, awarding cash prizes exceeding Rs 5 lakh along with mementoes and certificates of appreciation. More than 175 students were felicitated during the event in recognition of their academic achievements.
The ceremony was attended by Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at RIMS Ranchi, Dr Anand Prakash (MBBS, MCh), as the chief guest. The guests of honour included Dr Rakesh Kumar (MBBS, MD, Paediatrics, BHU) and Dr Manisha Chaudhary (MBBS, DGO). Blessing guests were Dr Kumar Deepak (MBBS, MS, MCh, Neurosurgery) and Dr Smriti Sagar (MBBS, MS-Obstetrics & Gynaecology, FMAS, DMAS), a specialist at ESIC Medical College, Namkum.
Among the top awardees, Akshat Prem, topper of the two-year classroom programme, received a cash prize of Rs 1.11 lakh. Shaqib Ahmed, a student of the one-year classroom programme, was awarded ₹1 lakh, while Akshay Sinha received ₹85,000. Sumit Saurabh, Shreya Suman and Mayank Raj were each presented with cash prizes of Rs 75,000. Several other students were also honoured for their outstanding performance.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Anand Prakash said success in the medical profession extends beyond securing high marks and is built on continuous learning, discipline and a spirit of service. Dr Rakesh Kumar emphasised that clearing NEET requires consistent practice, proper guidance and discipline in addition to talent. Dr Manisha Chaudhary urged students to uphold their responsibility towards society through dedicated medical service.
Biome Institute Director Pankaj Singh congratulated the successful candidates and wished them a bright future. He said the institute remains committed to providing quality education, regular test series, expert faculty guidance and a conducive academic environment, which has enabled its students to consistently deliver outstanding results.
Parents, teachers and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
