BSL conducts one-day training on pollution control and waste management

Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) organised a one-day training programme on “Pollution Control and Waste Management” on Thursday to promote environmental awareness and sustainable industrial practices among employees.

The inaugural session highlighted the importance of responsible industrial operations, environmental protection, pollution control, environmental compliance and effective waste management. Participants were encouraged to adopt best practices to help maintain ecological balance.

A total of 21 employees from various departments attended the programme. Technical sessions covered environmental regulations, sources of industrial pollution, pollution control systems and best practices for ensuring environmental compliance. The waste management session focused on waste segregation, recycling, safe disposal methods and the role of employees in promoting eco-friendly workplace practices.

The programme concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their experiences. It aimed to strengthen awareness of pollution control, environmental conservation and sustainable waste management across the plant.
