BSL hosts ‘Strategy – Business Games’ competition

Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) organised a two-day ‘Strategy – Business Games’ competition at its Human Resource Learning and Development Centre on August 24 and 25. The event brought together 40 teams from BSL, SRU, Mines and Collieries to test their strategic thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills through business simulations.
The competition was held at the Main Auditorium and Conference Halls-01 and 04. Senior officials from AIMA, New Delhi, along with officials of BSL’s Human Resource Learning and Development Department, participated in the programme and highlighted its objectives.
On the first day, 20 teams each competed in two groups, with 16 teams qualifying for the next round based on their performance. After the second day’s challenging sessions, BSL teams secured all four top positions.
The team of Rahul Ranjan Panda, Senior Manager, HSM & CMM-CTS; Rahul Singh, Deputy General Manager; and Owais Ahmed, Senior Manager, emerged winners. The team of Ashutosh Kumar, Senior Manager, Town Services (Electrical); Jai Kishan Sahu, Senior Manager; and Rupamoni Lal Kher, Deputy General Manager, secured the second position.
Kunal Prasad, Assistant General Manager, I&A; Gautam Kumar, Deputy General Manager, HR; and Rahul Kumar, Senior Manager, finished third, while Ayush Kedia, Manager; Saurav Kumar Agarwal, Manager; and Gitesh Poddar, Assistant General Manager, Finance & Accounts, secured the fourth position. Trophies were presented to the winning teams at the concluding session.
The competition aimed at strengthening strategic thinking, problem-solving and teamwork while providing executives an opportunity to address complex business challenges through simulation-based learning.
