Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) launched a free medical camp at Dumma, Deoghar, on the occasion of Shravani Mela 2026 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The camp was inaugurated by Director (Personnel), CCL, Harsh Nath Mishra.
It aims to provide free medical consultations and primary healthcare services to local villagers and pilgrims visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham. The camp will operate from July 30, 2026, to August 28, 2026.
The event commenced with traditional prayers and rituals, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a cultural program. Subsequently, Mishra formally inaugurated the medical camp by cutting the ribbon.
After the inauguration, the Director (Personnel) inspected the medical facilities and arrangements at the camp and gathered relevant information from the officials present. Appreciating the arrangements made for the benefit of pilgrims and local residents, he remarked that the availability of healthcare services is crucial during a massive religious event like the Shravani Mela. He stated that CCL has always been committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities and will continue to undertake such public welfare initiatives in the future.
The program concluded with the distribution of fruits and sweets among the pilgrims and guests.
The event was attended by the General Manager of the Giridih Area, Project Officers, senior area officials, members of the Area Consultative Committee (ACC), representatives of various trade unions, media personnel, and other distinguished guests.
This initiative by CCL reflects its commitment to society, ensuring that accessible and quality healthcare services are provided to pilgrims and local residents during the Shravani Mela.
