The CyberPeace E-Sports League (CEL) 8.0, organised in association with IDFC First Bank, concluded successfully in Ranchi on Wednesday, bringing together young gaming enthusiasts while promoting cybersecurity awareness and responsible digital behaviour.

Held at Level7 Multicuisine Skyline Restaurant, the Free Fire Squad Tournament witnessed participation from 48 gamers competing across 12 squads. The event aimed to encourage safe and responsible gaming practices while supporting India’s vision of a digitally empowered nation under the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative.

The competition provided a platform for aspiring esports players to showcase their skills in strategy, teamwork, communication, and decision-making under pressure. Organisers said the tournament sought to integrate cybersecurity awareness and digital responsibility into the rapidly growing esports ecosystem.

Addressing the participants, Kumar Saurabh, Chief Manager, IDFC First Bank Ranchi, emphasized the importance of creating a digitally aware and cyber-resilient generation. He said the bank was proud to support initiatives that promote both skill development and responsible digital engagement among young people.

Maj. Vineet Kumar, Founder and Global President of CyberPeace, said gaming has emerged as one of the most influential digital ecosystems for youth worldwide. He stressed the need to build safe online environments where innovation, competition, and cybersecurity can coexist. According to him, initiatives such as CEL 8.0 not only nurture gaming talent but also encourage responsible digital citizenship and cyber awareness.

The tournament featured multiple competitive rounds and tiebreakers, drawing enthusiastic participation from gamers across Ranchi. ZFX Esports emerged as champions, winning a cash prize of ₹3,999 and a Certificate of Excellence. Team Achievers secured the runner-up position, while United Eternals finished third.

Organisers said the event received an overwhelming response from participants and spectators, generating demand for similar tournaments in other cities. They added that future editions would continue to focus on youth empowerment, cybersecurity awareness, and safe gaming practices across India.
