Cyberpeace to train cybersecurity to Jharkhand MLAs

July 2, 2026

As artificial intelligence and emerging technologies rapidly evolve, they bring both immense opportunities and complex security challenges to public governance.
Cyberpeace is going to host a strategic and technical interactive session for the members of the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha on Friday at the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha. According to a Cyberpeace spokesperson, the move is to address one of the most important and toughest challenge governance has to face in securing India’s enormous digital future in this age of artificial intelligence.
As the emerging technologies and AI are transforming everything which includes public administration too, such new technologies and AI both brings an incredible opportunity for the governance but at the same time brings up a huge complex problem too. Perhaps the biggest question is how do you govern in an age where AI is moving much faster than the policies meant to contain it?
It is a question to think about , smart infrastructure is being rolled out across states at a pace that often outstrips the security thinking behind it and in this AI era the generative AI has already started changing what a cyberattacks even looks-like- from deepfakes to automated phishing, which is a serious concern as it barely needs a human hand anymore, the spokesperson said.
Talking to the Pioneer, a Cyberpeace spokesperson said, three things will headline the discussion. Firstly, how AI is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape on both offense and defense. Second, where the real vulnerabilities are hiding as smart state infrastructure gets built out, and the third – the most practical of them all what government frameworks could actually look like on the ground not just on paper.
There’s something worth noting here beyond the agenda itself. Very few legislative bodies in the country have engaged this directly with cybersecurity as a governance issue rather than a purely technical one. The Jharkhand Assembly is step ahead of all assemblies in India, which is an incredible feat to be noted. It can be the wake-up call for other assemblies too in India.
For Cyberpeace, the session is part of a broader push to get policymakers thinking about digital resilience before it becomes a crisis, not after. Whether that translates into real change will depend on what members do with it once the session ends!
