District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha on Thursday called upon Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) to actively support the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign during a meeting with BSL officials at the Collectorate.
The DC said SIR-2026 is a vital exercise to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral roll. He appealed to BSL officers and employees to extend full cooperation to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) carrying out door-to-door distribution, collection and digitisation of enumeration forms. He also encouraged BSL to conduct a special awareness campaign from July 11 to 13, motivating employees to complete the SIR process on time, spread awareness and inspire others to participate.
BSL Executive Director (HR) Rajshree Banerjee assured full support to the district administration. She said BSL would issue a special circular for employees and facilitate the setting up of a centralised SIR facilitation centre at Kala Kendra, Sector-2.
The DC also directed the Election Branch and District Public Relations Office to provide BSL’s Public Relations team with campaign material for extensive awareness among employees and their families.
The meeting was attended by ERO-cum-SDO (Chas) Pranjal Dhanda, Deputy District Election Officer Premchand Sinha, District Public Relations Officer Ravi Kumar, BSL CGM (Town Administration) Kundan Kumar, Head of Communications Manikant Dhan, Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar Singh, Public Relations Officer Abhinav Shankar, and other officials of the district administration and BSL.If you want it in a more newspaper-style format, I can make the lead even sharper while keeping the length about the same.
