DEO-cum-DC hears villagers’ grievances during inspection

During the inspection of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign, DEO-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha interacted with residents of Chipudag village, listened to their concerns, and directed officials to resolve them promptly.
Villagers and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) raised the issue of poor mobile network connectivity. Taking immediate cognisance, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned nodal officer over the phone to ensure early restoration of network services, stating that reliable connectivity was vital for both the SIR-2026 campaign and the local community.
The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with women villagers on livelihood opportunities. SHG member Mamta Kumari said most women in the village are educated, associated with Self-Help Groups, and interested in starting small-scale enterprises. He encouraged them to expand SHG membership, prepare proposals for local self-employment initiatives, and submit them to the BDO and CO, assuring full administrative support.
During the visit, he also inspected a dilapidated house and directed officials to address waterlogging at the residence of Yashoda Devi by carrying out cleaning, soil filling, levelling of the courtyard and approach road, and other necessary improvements.
Trainee IAS Aravind Radhakrishnan, District Deputy Election Officer Premchand Sinha, Circle Officer Ashok Ram, APRO Avinash Kumar Singh and other officials were present.
