On 13 August 2026, the final rehearsal of the Independence Day parade was held at the local KKN Stadium in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania and Superintendent of Police Praveen Pushkar.
Personnel from the JAP-5 contingent, including women and men police jawans, Home Guard cadres, and school children, took part in the rehearsal. The Sergeant Major led the participants in accordance with the prescribed protocol.
This marked the final day of the ongoing parade rehearsals being conducted as part of Independence Day preparations. On the occasion, the DC encouraged all participants, urging them to contribute their full effort with confidence, enthusiasm, and the spirit of national pride on their faces to make the programme grand.
He also informed that, along with the main district-level flag-hoisting ceremony, a grand cultural programme would be organised in the evening. The cultural event would showcase the art, culture and history of Jharkhand as well as the glorious saga of the nation.
Among those present were Deputy Development Commissioner Piyush Sinha, District Public Relations Officer Rahul Kumar Bharti, District Nazarat Deputy Collector Mukesh Kumar, the Sergeant Major, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, and other concerned officers and police officials.
