Deoghar documentary film selected for Jharkhand Film Festival

The Deoghar-based documentary film ‘Nirmala Ki Duniya’ has been selected in the competition category for the Chitrpat Jharkhand Film Festival 2026.
The film is based on the life, personality, and the world created by noted educationist Nirmala Thakur of Deoghar.
The Chitrpat Jharkhand Film Festival 2026 is scheduled to be held from 26 to 28 June 2026 at Sarla Birla University, Ranchi. The festival is exclusively organised for films made by Jharkhand’s producers and directors with the aim of promoting cinema from the state.
A total of 84 films were received for the festival. After a two-day jury meeting held in Jamshedpur for screening and evaluation, 67 films were selected to compete following in-depth study and rigorous assessment by the jury members. ‘Nirmala Ki Duniya’ is among the selected films.
The film is presented by Maulik Films. Its cinematographer is Bablu Sah, publicity designer is Udayesh Ravi, and producer, conceptualiser & director is Shatrughn Prasad.
