In a decisive move to align technical education with regional economic drivers, Dumka Deputy Commissioner Abhijit Sinha has directed technical training institutes to urgently establish a specialized mining trade. Chairing a high-level review of the Labour, Employment, and Industrial Training Department at the collectorate, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that building a skilled local workforce tailored to the area’s robust mining sector is critical to unlocking premium employment avenues and checking distress migration from rural blocks.
To bridge the gap between job seekers and corporate employers immediately, the administration finalized the groundwork for a mega Employment Fair (Rojgar Mela) at the District Employment Exchange on July 27, 2026, ordering extensive publicity campaigns to maximize rural participation. Concurrently, Sinha mandated the aggressive deployment of the “Apanar Aato Kami” initiative through regular block-level camps, ensuring that livelihood opportunities, self-reliance schemes, and welfare benefits reach the doorsteps of remote workers. ITI principals were strictly instructed to elevate training standards and sharpen placement metrics to guarantee immediate economic security for the district’s youth.
