In a major push toward safer train operations and operational efficiency, Eastern Railway organized a unique interactive safety seminar chaired by Gitika Pandey, General Manager, Eastern Railway. The first-of-its-kind session brought frontline field staff into direct conversation with top administrative leadership, creating an open platform to discuss day-to-day train operations, crew booking management, and field-level challenges.
The knowledge-sharing seminar focused heavily on system improvements and the strict adherence to safety protocols required across all divisions. Participants including Loco Inspectors, Crew Lobby In-charges, and Traction Loco Controllers shared practical feedback from their daily routines, while senior administration addressed systemic solutions to streamline operations.
Devender Kumar, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Eastern Railway, along with the Chief Electrical Engineer (Operations) and Senior Divisional Electrical Engineers (Operations) from all divisions, joined the seminar via videoconferencing alongside their operational teams. Through this collaborative exchange, Eastern Railway continues to strengthen its commitment to safety by aligning frontline experience with administrative direction.
