The second day of the five-day Srimad Bhagavatam Katha organised by ISKCON Ranchi was conducted with great devotion and enthusiasm, as hundreds of devotees and visitors gathered to hear the glories and transcendental pastimes of Lord Sri Krishna.
The programme began in a serene and spiritually charged atmosphere with a melodious kirtan. The devotees participated with deep enthusiasm, singing the holy names of the Lord together. The peaceful and soulful kirtan created an atmosphere of devotion, joy and spiritual upliftment, setting the perfect mood for the day’s Bhagavatam discourse.
The Srimad Bhagavatam lecture was delivered by Sri Lilapurushottam Das, who presented the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam in an insightful and engaging manner. He explained the eternal relationship between the individual soul and the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna, emphasising that every living being is eternally connected with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Speaking on the transcendental appearance of Lord Sri Krishna, he narrated the divine pastime surrounding His advent in the prison cell of King Kamsa, where Devaki and Vasudeva were imprisoned. He explained that the Lord, who is eternally situated in the spiritual realm, appeared in this world not because He is bound by material nature, but by His own divine will.
The five-day spiritual programme is being organised by ISKCON Ranchi as part of the celebrations leading up to the grand Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav.
