In a low-scoring but gripping encounter in the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League 2026, Jamshedpur Steelers defeated Ranchi Titans by three wickets at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, with 13 balls to spare.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Ranchi Titans suffered an early collapse and were reduced to 5/3 by the end of the second over. Saty Setu steadied the innings with a resilient 39 off 34 balls, while captain Rajdeep Singh contributed 30 off 20 deliveries. However, the Titans failed to build substantial partnerships and were eventually bowled out for 119 on the final ball of their innings.
The Steelers’ bowlers delivered an impressive performance, led by Prateek Ranjan (3/11) and Player of the Match Harsh Rana (3/19), who picked up three wickets each. Sahil Raj (2/23) and Aman Kumar Singh (2/28) also chipped in with two wickets apiece to restrict the opposition.
Chasing a modest target of 120, Jamshedpur Steelers too had a shaky start, losing two early wickets within the first two overs. Kumar Devbrat and Adarsh Giri then played crucial knocks of 27 runs each to stabilise the chase, while Ravi Sharma added a quickfire 17 off 12 balls.
Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the Steelers held their nerve to reach 120/7 in 17.5 overs and secure the win.
For Ranchi Titans, Saurabh Shekhar was the standout bowler, claiming 4/21 in his four-over spell, while Prince Anurag Murmu supported well with figures of 2/24.
