Members of the JPSC-JSSC Reform Forum on Friday burnt effigies of several Jharkhand ministers and the chairman of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) in Ranchi, protesting against alleged irregularities in government recruitment examinations.
The protesters burnt effigies of ministers Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Deepika Pandey Singh, Dr Irfan Ansari and Sudivya Kumar, along with JSSC chairman Sudhir Gupta.
The students alleged that the government was failing to protect the interests of job aspirants and warned that if corrective measures were not taken, government jobs could eventually be “sold like products on platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon.”
The protesters demanded greater transparency and accountability in the recruitment process and said they would intensify their agitation if their concerns were not addressed.
They also announced that students would take out a Tiranga Yatra in Ranchi on Saturday as part of their ongoing protest.
