Efforts to revive the Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), which is facing a severe financial crisis, have been intensified. In this regard, a high-level Central Parliamentary Committee is arriving in Ranchi on August 19th for a three-day visit.
The Parliamentary Committee will conduct a detailed on-site inspection of HEC’s three major plants on August 20th. During the inspection, the committee will assess the current status of the plant, production capacity, and financial resources.
Following the inspection of the plants, the committee will hold an important meeting with the Secretary of the Jharkhand Government on August 20th. Issues related to HEC’s revival and the State Government cooperation are expected to be discussed in detail.
The six-member team, led by MP Tiruchi Siva, includes MP Hasmukhbhai Patel and four other MPs. HEC Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) KS Murthy and all the directors of the institute will also be present in person during the inspection and meetings.
