After a long wait, the new Human Resource (HR) policy of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) has received the green light with the special initiative of the Minister for Rural Development, Rural Works, and Panchayati Raj Deepika Pandey Singh.
The implementation of the new HR system will create employment opportunities for approximately 1,300 additional positions within JSLPS. This move will not only enhance the organization’s operational efficiency but also prove instrumental in providing employment opportunities to the state’s unemployed youth.
A look at the new JSLPS HR system reveals that salaries for employees in the L-5 to L-8 categories have been increased by up to 60 percent. The new system includes an increase in laptop and communication allowances for employees—necessities for work in today’s rapidly changing times.
Additionally, for the first time, JSLPS personnel will receive an education allowance alongside a professional development allowance. This measure will prove beneficial for the educational advancement and intellectual growth of the employees’ families. Furthermore, JSLPS personnel will now be able to claim up to ₹1,000 per month for health benefits.
Moreover, the new HR system introduces gratuity for eligible JSLPS personnel, increases field visit allowances for block-level staff, and extends field visit allowance benefits to district-level staff. The group personal accident insurance coverage has been raised from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, while the group mediclaim insurance coverage has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. These changes will provide employees and their families with better financial security during times of critical illness or medical emergencies.
The Minister said that this is a significant step towards ensuring a secure, prosperous, and happy future for JSLPS personnel. “There had been a long-standing demand for the implementation of a new HR system, and the government has now delivered this gift to JSLPS employees. The creation of these additional jobs will also accelerate the pace of work. I am not merely hopeful but fully confident that JSLPS will succeed in scaling new heights of success in the future,” she added.
