A grand farewell-cum-felicitation ceremony was organized by the office family of the Regional Joint Director of Education, Santhal Pargana Division, Dumka, on Sunday to honor Dr. Durganand Jha on his retirement.

The event was presided over by Deoghar District Education Officer (DEO) Binod Kumar Singh, while the welcome address was delivered by the In-charge Principal Mahendra Raj Hans, and the stage proceedings were conducted by Ashok Kumar Singh. During the ceremony, education department officials, employees, teachers from all districts of the Santhal Pargana division, and representatives of the Bharat Scouts and Guides honored Dr. Jha by presenting him with bouquets, shawls, traditional attire, and mementos.

Sharing the experiences of his long tenure, Dr. Durganand Jha stated that he discharged his duties with utmost honesty and dedication throughout his service. He emphasized that an official should always play the role of a guide rather than a mere administrator, adding that a person’s dignity does not come from holding a position but from maintaining the dignity of that position. He added that achievements earned through honesty and loyalty are the real wealth of life, noting that no job or position is big or small.
