In a significant administrative reshuffle, Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU) has appointed new professor-in-charges across four of its constituent colleges pursuant to directives from the Vice-Chancellor. Formal notifications regarding the changes have been issued by the university’s acting registrar.
Under the newly released orders, leadership transitions have been initiated at Sahibganj College in Sahibganj, Mahila College in Madhupur, Model College in Rajmahal, and Mahila College in Sahibganj.
Dr. Ranjit Singh, a 2008-batch faculty member from the Department of Geology who previously served as the professor-in-charge of Model College, Rajmahal, has been appointed as the new professor-in-charge of Sahibganj College, Sahibganj. His appointment follows the university’s acceptance of the resignation tendered by former principal-in-charge Dr. S.R.I. Rizvi.
Concurrently, Dr. Anita Gua Hembrom has been designated as the professor-in-charge of Mahila College, Madhupur, with former head Dr. Bharat Prasad instructed to report back to his parent institution.
In further appointments, Dr. Siddham Singh Munda, a 2008-batch faculty member from the Department of Psychology at Sahibganj College, has taken over as the professor-in-charge of Model College, Rajmahal. Additionally, Dr. Anoop Kumar Shah, another 2008-batch psychology faculty member from Sahibganj College, has been posted as the professor-in-charge of Mahila College, Sahibganj.
Furthermore, the university has directed Dr. D.J.K. Singh, the former professor-in-charge of Mahila College, Sahibganj, to return and resume duties at his parent college.
