Acting on a tip-off, the Ranchi Police conducted a raid near Sithio Mukti Dham within the Dhurwa police station area. During the operation, an individual was arrested on charges of supplying illegal brown sugar; 14.36 grams of brown sugar and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at (Dhurwa Police Station Case No. 184/26 in the State Capital and an investigation is underway. Following his appearance in court, the arrested accused was sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranch
Meanwhile, A video is rapidly going viral on social media in Ranchi. The video shows five to six young men brandishing weapons, including rifles that resemble AK-47s. The weapons are openly displayed, and the video features superimposed text claiming that they roam around with unlicensed arms and fear no one.
The text in the video reads: “We roam with unlicensed weapons, whereas you cannot even take your vehicle out on the road without a license. We have connections; we don’t wait to prepare when the time comes to act—we are always ready.”
The video was uploaded to social media from an account named ‘SK Sonu Khan’. It is being claimed that the video originates from an area in Ranchi and that one of the youths seen in it is Sonu Khan.
However, the police have not yet officially confirmed the details regarding this viral video. It also remains unclear whether the weapons shown are real or replicas.
