Steel city pays tribute to veteran social worker Sardar Ajit Singh

Rich tribute was paid to the late Sardar Ajit Singh, a respected social worker and resident of Mango, at the concluding ceremony of the Sri Akhand Path Sahib and the Antim Ardas (final prayer) held at Gurudwara Sahib, Sakchi, on Monday. The solemn gathering witnessed the presence of prominent personalities from the social, political, religious, and media fraternity, who assembled to offer prayers for the departed soul and pay their heartfelt tributes.

The religious ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of reverence and devotion. Devotional hymns (Guru ka Kirtan) were performed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., following which the Antim Ardas was conducted for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Jharkhand State Minorities Commission Vice-Chairman Sardar Jyoti Singh Matharu attended the ceremony after travelling from Ranchi. Paying homage to the late social worker, he said Sardar Ajit Singh would always be remembered for his dedicated service to society and his commitment to humanitarian causes.

Office-bearers and members of the Gurudwara Management Committee, Sakchi, including President Sardar Nishan Singh, General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale, Chairman Sardar Randhir Singh, Trustees Sardar Ravinder Singh, Satnam Singh Sidhu, Satinder Singh Romi, Sardar Ajaib Singh Bariyar, and Surjit Singh Chhite, also offered floral tributes and participated in the prayer service.
