Young talents shine at CISCE Regional Yoga Championship

Loyola School Telco hosted the CISCE Regional Yoga Championship with great enthusiasm and spirit. Participants from four districts—Patna, Bhagalpur, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur—competed in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories. The championship was conducted under the supervision of Chief Judge Malay Kumar Dey.
The primary objective of the championship was to foster an interest in yoga among students, promote physical and mental well-being, and cultivate discipline, concentration, and self-confidence.
The participants showcased remarkable excellence through a variety of yogasanas and artistic yoga performances. Their balance, flexibility, physical agility, and self-control left a lasting impression on both the judges and the audience.
Smriti and Caroline Maria of Loyola School Telco emerged victorious in the Artistic Pair (Under-14) category, earning qualification to represent the region at the National Yoga Championship. Preeti Sinha, Zonal Coordinator, Fr. Oscar Horo, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, Bistupur, Fr. Gerry, School Administrator, Reshma Rodrigues, Vice Principal (Senior School), Zeenat Maria Sundi, Vice Principal (Junior School) and Colleen Xavier, Moderator.
Congratulating all the participants, Principal Charanjeet Ohson remarked that “Yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a way of leading a healthy, balanced, and positive life.” She encouraged the students to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine.
