In a gesture aimed at encouraging sports and youth participation, former Jamshedpur MP Suman Mahato and social worker Shiv Shankar Singh distributed 23 sets of sports jerseys among members of Aruna Samiti at a programme held at the Community Hall in Medical Basti, Dhatkidih.

The jersey distribution programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from local youths and sports enthusiasts. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of sports in promoting discipline, teamwork and healthy lifestyles among young people. They also assured continued support for local sporting activities and community development initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, former MP Suman Mahato said that sports play a crucial role in shaping the character of young people and help keep them away from social evils. Social worker Shiv Shankar Singh highlighted the need to provide adequate resources and encouragement to budding athletes at the grassroots level.

The event was attended by several local residents and community representatives, including Vishal Mukhi, Piten and Shahrukh Mallick, who appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that such support would motivate more youngsters to participate in sports and bring laurels to the area.

Members of Aruna Samiti thanked the guests for their support and said the jerseys would boost the morale of the players and strengthen the team’s identity during competitions and sporting events.
