More than 47 days after 22-month-old Aditi Pandey went missing from Khorahtoli in Kokar on May 9, 2026, there is still no breakthrough in the case, leaving her family in deep distress and uncertainty.
On Tuesday, the child’s parents reached the Chief Minister’s residence, urging authorities to intensify the search operation. However, they were stopped by the police and taken to Gonda police station, where officials informed them that a prior appointment is required to meet the Chief Minister.
Subsequently, the family submitted a formal application to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. DSP Sanjeev Kumar Besra stated that the application has been received by the Chief Minister’s Office through the designated OSD after due communication with the Secretariat.
He added that the investigation is ongoing and police teams are exploring all possible angles. “We are acting on every input and suggestion provided by the family,” he said.
Meanwhile, Aditi’s father, Manish Pandey, said the family has already staged multiple protests demanding faster action. While expressing faith in the administration, he admitted growing anguish over the lack of progress. “It has been over 47 days, and there is still no clue about our daughter. We only want to meet the Chief Minister and place the matter before him,” he said.
