Jharkhand’s Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar on Wednesday said that the voter mapping exercise in the state will continue until June 15, ahead of the intensive revision of electoral rolls.
He informed that following the completion of the mapping process, work related to the printing of enumeration forms and training of officials will be undertaken.
The CEO stated that the process gained momentum after the publication of the list of un-mapped voters on May 23 at all polling stations and on the official website in a searchable format. So far, 78.60% of voters in the state have been successfully mapped.
According to official data, a total of 20.8 million (2,08,06,211) voters have been mapped, while 1,403,354 voters have been added to the mapped list after the publication of the un-mapped voter list.
Un-mapped voters have been advised to contact their Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to complete the mapping process based on the previous electoral roll revision.
The CEO also highlighted that voters can access the contact details of their BLOs through the ECINET app by using the “Connect With Election Officials” feature and entering their voter ID number. Additionally, voters can visit the official website to check their details in the un-mapped voter list and obtain information about their polling station and BLO.
Kumar urged all un-mapped voters to participate in the process at the earliest to ensure their inclusion in the updated electoral rolls. He also clarified that the special intensive revision exercise is meant only for eligible Indian citizens and non-citizens should not take part in the process.
